If there’s a wrestler who’s evolved with time in recent years, it has to be Brock Lesnar. Leaving his monster gimmick for a true-to-life, cowboy get-up, Lesnar became a fan favorite. After years of being a heel, Lesnar was finally a hero in the eyes of the audience. But just this April, Lesnar turned to his destructive beginnings, thrashing Cody Rhodes, after ‘The American Nightmare’s’ loss.

After beating up Rhodes at Night of Champions, Lesnar was nowhere to be seen. With SummerSlam a few weeks away, it would be a great opportunity to come back and end his feud with Rhodes. While Michael Cole hinted at it, fans online aren’t happy with the consequences of Lesnar’s return.

On SmackDown, it was the go-home show for WWE’s biggest event in London of the year, Money in the Bank. Every match, segment, and conversation revolved around the event just hours away. So, on the commentary, Michael Cole just put out that Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio will be the main event of the show.

This announcement invoked a lot of theories. Many people pointed out that Lesnar’s return seems imminent as it would make for a dramatic ending to the PPV.

The last time that Lesnar made his return, he had a total makeover. Will it be the same this time? Let’s see if the fans are excited about Lesnar’s return or if there’s any other sort of reaction to seeing Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio be the main event of the show.

While hinting at a Brock Lesnar return, fans are hostile about the main event

This did not fare well with the fans online. Not only is ‘The Bloodline Civil War’ the biggest storyline in the wrestling industry at the moment, but it is also immensely popular with fans. They aren’t letting go of seeing that match as the main event of the show. One fan pointed out all the other options for a main event.

Another fan called Rhodes’ match, a mid-card match at best!

One fan is hoping it isn’t the main event.
