Dexter Lumis hasn’t been a part of WWE NXT for a while now. Of course, his fans have felt the absence. Therefore, when he made his presence known, the crowd went berserk.
Lumis made a comeback by appearing in front of Cameron Grimes once he went backstage. Even though there was not an exchange of words, their intense staredown was enough to create a buzz.
At this point, Grimes was already suffering the consequences of Ridge Holland derailing his challenge. Therefore, not being able to tolerate the chilling stare of the Torture Artist, Grimes called him a freak before walking off.

Now, calling Dexter Lumis a freak on his face may not have been the smartest move.
He’s just making a comeback and has not been in the ring for long. In fact, nobody is quite sure what his next move is. Whether Lumis will focus on haunting Grimes or move on to another victim is yet to be revealed by the company.
Dexter Lumis got shot down from the top
Dexter Lumis was thriving in his phase of glory during the summer. Not only did he face off with The Undisputed Era, but also earned a spot to shoot for the NXT North American Championship.
He took down Timothy Thatcher and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat match to earn his spot. As a matter of fact, he was the second Superstar following Bronson Reed to have qualified for that match.
Tragically, he sustained an injury prior to the North American Ladder Match at Takeover: XXX. As a result, he was removed from the roster just as he was about to hit the jackpot.
It was reported that he injured his ankle during the Triple Threat match itself. The Torture Artist suffered the impact on his ankle while pulling off a flip over the top rope. Unfortunately, the camera had a terrible angle because of which the spot’s agility wasn’t clear.

On the other hand, there was a possibility that it was Thatcher who injured his ankle.
