Just a few hours ago, the reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther and his wife Jinny welcomed their son into the world. Sharing a photo of his wife and newborn baby in the hospital bed, he disclosed the wonderful news to his fans on social media.
During the delivery period, he was there to provide emotional support to his wife, which is why he missed the WWE Holiday Live Tour held in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, December 26. Now ‘The Ring General’ is a father and has more responsibilities on his shoulders to take care of his newborn son. Therefore, it could be possible that he will miss the Royal Rumble premium event next month.

Since Gunther recently became a dad, he may want to spend more time with his wife and newborn son, taking care of them. Thus, he may apply for a paternity leave. Paternity leave in the US is typically between two and 12 weeks long, allowing the father to help with childcare.
Considering this scenario, the fans might not see him at the event on Saturday 27 January 2024. His Royal Rumble absence will be a major disappointment because his performance in the 2023 Royal Rumble was truly and utterly amazing.
