This week on SmackDown Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were scheduled to face the team of Natalya and Tegan Nox. However, things didn’t go according to plan because of Ronda’s unexpected injury. In the latest episode of SmackDown, WWE showed a backstage fight segment between the two teams.

Later, the announcers stated that Ronda got injured during the brawl, so the tag team match ended up being replaced by a one-on-one match between Baszler and Nox. Rousey was present on the ringside during the match, wearing a sling around her injured arm. Seeing her injured, fans started to think that she might miss this year’s WrestleMania. And now there is an update on her booking.

According to the report, “Ronda Rousey showed up on SmackDown in an arm sling tonight and didn’t wrestle as scheduled, but instead stood at ringside as Shayna Baszler defeated Tegan Nox. PWTorch has learned that she aggravated a prior injury, and it is not expected to infringe on her availability to wrestle at WrestleMania in four weeks.”

It seems Rousey may be clear to go ahead if and when WWE decides to book her at the big event in a few weeks’ time.

Potential booking of Rousey at WrestleMania

Now it is clear that the injury will not stop the ‘Baddest Woman on Planet’ from competing at WrestleMania this year. It would be interesting to see how the WWE and Triple H will book her for this year’s WrestleMania.

Last year Ronda Rousey lost her SmackDown women’s championship to Charlotte Flair. After that, she clearly mentioned her intentions of conquering the women’s tag team division. And now, after a brief hiatus, she has returned, officially forming a team with her best friend Shayna Baszler.

On the last Monday Night Raw, ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch and Lita successfully captured the tag team titles. And it could be possible that WWE books them against Ronda and Baszler at WrestleMania 39.
