Major Update on Edge’s WrestleMania Future as Road to the “Biggest Event of Them All” Heats Up

The biggest wrestling event of the year, WrestleMania 38, is six weeks away. The match card is slowly filling as WWE has already fixed some big matches for the two-night event. Edge returned last week on RAW to give an open challenge to any wrestler for WrestleMania 38. This week’s RAW will reveal the superstar accepting the challenge of Edge.

WWE recently on their Twitter account posted a tweet for Edge’s opponent. The caption of the post said, “Will someone accept @EdgeRatedR’s #WrestleMania challenge tomorrow night on #WWERaw?”

Edge in his promo gave fans a hint of whom he wants to face at WrestleMania 38. There are rumors of many surprising returns ahead of WrestleMania. Anybody could be the opponent, an existing roster member, or a returning superstar.

Will AJ Styles accept Edge’s challenge?

Recently, AJ Styles appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani on the BT Sport YouTube channel. There, AJ Styles talked about wanting to have a match against ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ when asked about his dream opponent. However, Styles also pointed out that he and Edge have been pitching the idea to Vince for a potential match soon. 

Styles said, “Edge is that guy. He is so knowledgeable, he’s such a superstar. I would love the opportunity to get in the ring with him.”

AJ Styles had given up the hopes for this match since Edge was retired. But now, since Edge is active again in the ring, Styles doesn’t want to miss the opportunity.

Styles still thinks the match should happen as soon as possible as there is a limited time for both men. Anyone can retire soon. The possibilities of this match at WrestleMania 38 are too high and Vince will make it happen as he too knows this match will earn huge money.

Edge vs Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 38?

This match has a rare possibility to happen, but since Cody Rhodes has left AEW and is rumored to appear in WWE, this match can be on the card. It was also noted that Cody Rhodes if he signs with WWE, will get a high-profile match at WrestleMania 38.

Cody Rhodes is expected to appear on WWE television this month. Edge is a high-profile superstar in WWE. There is no history between the two, but if in six weeks WWE can pull off a storyline between them, then this match can be the big return for Cody Rhodes in WWE.
