Is WWE's creative team dropping the ball with the Uncle Howdy and Wyatt storyline?

A new video of the Wyatt Sicks was presented during tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW. Since last week it was Erick Rowan’s turn, tonight it was Abby the Witch who got the spotlight on the tape. Pat McAfee and Michael Cole were interrupted again during the programming. However, this time the video played automatically. Unlike the other times when a personal handover initiated proceedings.

This new video by the Wyatt Sicks stars “Abby the Witch.” In the clip, Uncle Howdy’s distorted voice spoke to the protagonist: “Look at yourself. Look. Look! They lied. They ignore you. Watched you suffer… in solitude. I’ve been the answer all along.” The witch then cried on camera as Uncle Howdy turned back to her. “Look at you!” Suddenly, Abby screamed madly to end the video.

A few minutes later, when Gable and the Creed brothers (Julius and Brutus) attacked Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa), the Wyatt Sicks interrupted the beating by appearing on the entrance ramp. While the Creeds waited with chairs at ringside, Gable stayed in the ring, only for Uncle Howdy to appear behind him. He then hit him with Sister Abigail in honor of Bray Wyatt.

This truly was an interesting segment that saw the faction performing their first on-screen violence act, as previously we just got to see the faction do the deeds behind the camera like in the massacre. However, this wasn’t the only ‘first’ tonight. The group also made their first normal appearance through the ramp by walking straight, rather than the typical gorilla walk with Abby the Witch crawling in the front. But while many might not have noticed this slight difference, it made the segment really less impactful, according to a WWE veteran.

Bully Ray is known for being one of the most active and vocal pro wrestling pundits out there. He uses his years of experience to point out every tiny detail that others might’ve missed. This time, it was the entrance of the Wyatt Sicks6 that disappointed him. Taking to Twitter, he revealed that the group should never again simply walk out but use the gorilla position instead. He wrote, “Wyatt Sicks should NEVER come out from the entrance position / Gorilla. The week they debut, they destroyed it. Now, they’re “welcomed” through it.”

However, he also praised Uncle Howdy for hitting Sister Abigail on Gable. It was a perfect tribute to remind fans that they are just continuing the Firefly Funhouse universe. Moreover, it helped reiterate the fact that Bray Wyatt remains the main founder of it all. Wyatt will be immortalized by this group and their sinister deeds. Speaking of evil characters, do you know there is another evil entity in the WWE who might feature with the Wyatt Sicks6 sometime in the future?

We know very well that the Wyatt Sicks are a legacy of Bray Wyatt and his many characters, such as The Fiend. The same Fiend who chose Finn Balor as his first victim. The current World Tag Team Champion has worked closely with the Eater of Worlds on numerous occasions. Especially given his familiarity with supernatural gimmicks such as the Demon King. The handling of which has not been liked by Balor himself in recent years. The member of Judgment Day, speaking to the microphones of the What’s the Story podcast, however, opened up to a scenario that would see the Demon clash with the Wyatt Sicks.

The Irishman said, “I’d love to work with The Wyatt Sicks. I feel like we could do some cool s**t there. I would like to keep Finn as a heel and The Demon as the babyface and not blur the lines at all. But it’s so hard, and I feel like The Demon’s kind of something that we haven’t executed very well the last couple years, and I’d rather not-not do it than do it in a way that I’m not happy with so, and look, in six years time, they can throw me out there in Demon paint and I’ll do the entrance.” What do you think of this idea? Do you believe that the WWE should book a feud between the Demon and Uncle Howdy? Or would you rather have him team up with the faction instead? Let us know in the comments.
