Eric Bischoff even praised WWE, noting that they have been creating excellent storylines, which is why they have the advantage against AEW. The wrestling veteran stated, “It’s what I’ve been saying for the last couple of years with regard to AEW focus on story, learn how to tell a story, learn how to develop characters and create them so they don’t all look one dimensional and all kind of look like they were cut out of the same die-cast. WWE is doing it. AEW isn’t. And the success of WWE does not surprise me.”
