It would not be an overstatement to say that there must be no one in the world that did not have to go through the struggles of having body issues in their lifetime. This issue is more prominent in females. Because society has a preconceived notion as to what an ideal woman should look like.

Not too fat, not too thin, flawless skin, pretty hair… are just some standards set by society for a woman to be perfect. Impact Wrestling female star recently opened up about her struggles with body image, which she had to face in her work environment.

Jordynne Grace struggled with her body image from a very young age

In the recent episode of Diary: Jordynne Grace, the two-time Impact Knockouts World Champion speaks on the sensitive issue of body image. According to her, body image struggle is one of the pressing concerns that female wrestlers face in the pro wrestling industry.

She said that the younger the female wrestler is, the deeper impact the issue has on her. The same happened with her as well. She started her wrestling career in her early 20s and was a victim of a self-esteem problem.

“I definitely experienced depression at a very early age. And it made me want to quit,” she said. Grace added that there are people who are ready to target you on social media and also plenty of people try to discourage you in person.

No matter what you think about yourself, people saying harsh and mean stuff can take a toll on your mental health.

But in the end, she stated that the same thing that made her feel vulnerable also motivated her to become better. The fire inside her helped her to overcome her struggles.

Grace’s shocking body transformation

The inaugural Impact Digital media Champion was successful in fighting her demons. Though the evil in society tried to pull her down, she got back up. And now she is the best version of herself.

Grace’s social media profile is filled with her body transformation photos. Her posts motivate women to push harder and attain their dream bodies. From being a self-conscious female wrestler to a fit and chiseled wrestling queen, who knows how to deal with haters, she has come a long way.
