There is nothing more amazing than a lucky encounter with some of your favorite wrestlers. Many times, fans have posted photos and selfies taken at airports and restaurants with wrestlers. This is one of the best experiences. But everything has its limits, even these interactions. Something that Rey Mysterio made plainly clear.

Bothering wrestlers in a public place, especially airports, can be exhausting for the stars. A normal schedule for a wrestler is already filled with flying to many cities or countries all year round. So, pushing them for something more is rude and disrespectful to the wrestler who is already giving their all to entertain us in the ring. It is completely in their right to decline, just like Mysterio did recently with this fan.

Fans defend Rey Mysterio after his airport encounter with fans goes viral

On TikTok, a fan posted a video of Rey Mysterio declining to sign stacks of merchandise for fans at the airport. This video was viral for a few different reasons on TikTok. Some fans, like the one who posted it, thought it was funny.

While others were calling the fans’ actions disrespectful and out of line. But some were also defending the fan and criticizing them. Well, wrestling Twitter got the memo and they are chiming in with their responses.

The fact that there is a stack of merchandise with him is highly suspicious of their behavior.

Rey isn’t a legend in the wrestling business for no reason.

Flying every week is tiring ,and everyone needs a good rest sometimes.

Making your favorite wrestlers who are already tired and want to relax, do something for you seems weird as well.

Mysterio has always had a good head over his shoulders and he treated his situation perfectly.

While people were quick to defend Mysterio, some people still criticize him for not adhering to the fans request. Just to leave you on a positive note; The Undertaker was also asked a bizarre request by a fan in a restaurant, months after his official retirement. Not only was The Deadman a good sport, but he also gave his fans an iconic video outside of WWE.
