Dwayne The Rock Johnson continues adding more fun and charisma to the mundane through his weekly WWE appearances. During an eventful SmackDown last week, the Brahma Bull pulled out a unique musical promo to troll Cody Rhodes and his family. Prior to that song, The Rock gave a shout-out to the legendary singer and comedian Rodney Carrington while enunciating one of his lines as a pre-concert instruction to the crowd.
While it undoubtedly set the tone for the night, it didn’t sit well with some rules and decorums of the company. Justifying that notion, DJ shared an Instagram post while paying a sincere homage to Carrington in the comments.

Chaos happened regarding Johnson’s throwing of the words ‘drunk and horny’ during last week’s blue brand show. It reportedly offended WWE’s Network and “standards & practices”. It pushed The Rock to come up with a simple justification post, where he clearly noted he was just being real and not necessarily gross. Down in the comments, someone mentioned the singer whom the line was inspired by. He wrote, “ALL HAIL RODNEY CARRINGTON!” The Rock quickly responded by saying, ”Right there with ya brother. Love Rodney Carrington! “Well, you don’t sound sick” 😂🥃”

The Rock is back to his dark villain era and reigning it in full swing. In reality, Dwayne The Rock Johnson is the other name of humanity, sensibility, and morality. But projecting himself as a seasoned WWE heel is something about being firm in his work commitment. So, while transitioning to his savage in-ring gimmick, it’s not weird for the Hollywood mogul to forget about boundaries. Let’s dig deeper into the scenario.
Why does The Rock’s latest controversial behavior inside the ring make complete sense?

The incident has two contradictory sides. Given that The Rock is now a member of directors at TKO, he has some added responsibility to uphold the company’s rules and regulations. It’s certainly a bit misleading to others if one among the decision-makers himself doesn’t abide by it.
But to look at the other side of the picture, as a fan-favorite performer, The Rock has to win his fans’ hearts even if it means bringing back some unbridled savage from The Attitude era to rule out the ‘stale’ tag. So, at the end of the day, your boss is always right and just.
