Cody Rhodes has been the center of discussion since he won the Royal Rumble this year. The WWE Universe has been waiting for The American Nightmare to finish its story. However, one roadblock did come between him and his goal: Dwayne Johnson. The Peoples Champ made a reentry into WWE and tried to steal Rhodes’s spotlight. However thanks to Cody Rhodes’ fans, this did not happen as the #WeWantCodyRhodes movement went viral and spread like wildfire.

Recently Johnson had called these fans ‘Cody’s Crybabies ’ after turning heel. Prior to the most recent episode of SmackDown, Johnson also released a 20-minute-long promo on his Instagram, where he had unleashed a flurry of insults towards Cody Rhodes and anyone associated with him, including his dog Pharaoh. Amidst all these, a host and morning producer attacked Johnson for being a hypocrite and voiced out his frustration towards him. 

Dave LeGreca calls out Dwayne Johnson for the hypocrisy 

Recently Dave LeGreca went on the Busted Open Podcast to reply to Dwayne Johnson. When Johnson took over Rhodes’s opportunity to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, LeGreca addressed the situation earlier. Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to reply and voiced out calling LeGreca another “goof, an idiot, Cody crybaby.” After listening to Johnson’s reply, Dave LeGreca addressed this and expressed his frustration. 

He said, “I’m a Cody crybaby, and I’m damn proud of it. I wear it. I wear Cody Rhodes because I’m a fan. Listen, you know about fandom; you’re always throwing up the ‘you.’ You throw up the ‘you’ all the time—Miami Hurricanes.” LeGreca discussed Dwayne Johnson’s passionate support for the Miami Hurricanes but noted his discomfort when others support different entities. “Why? Because it doesn’t fit your narrative,” added LeGreca.

He pointed out another instance of hypocrisy when Johnson claimed that being part of the director’s team didn’t hold significance in this scenario. Despite referring to himself as the boss.

“Try to break the American dream? How about that? I am a Cody fan, and I’m gonna watch Cody Rhodes win that Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 40. I’ve lost a lot of respect for you, Rock,” ended Dave LeGreca in anger. He also went on to hammer down Johnson on another comment. 

LeGreca bashes Dwayne Johnson on “basement” comment    

In the same video, LeGreca replied to Johnson’s basement remark. Johnson had said in the above-mentioned Instagram video, “Who thinks he knows everything but doesn’t know s**t? A guy is sitting in his basement with a bathrobe and a Cody Rhodes t-shirt on, and he’s talking about how much he hates The Rock.” Now Dave LeGreca did not mince his words when replying to The Rock.

“And if you watch that clip, and you’re right, I’m disheveled. I got the bathrobe on. My hair’s a mess because that was immediately after what you did to Cody on Smackdown that Friday night. Who was I doing Busted Open with? And by the way, it’s not a podcast that I do in my mom’s basement. I’m a grown man, all. I’m a married man. I have a family. I’m a family man, and I’m doing that show with two WWE Hall of Famers,” roared LeGreca.
