Hulk Hogan is renowned as one of the most iconic individuals in the history of professional wrestling. He experienced incredible triumphs in both the WWE and WCW, securing multiple world titles throughout his extraordinary tenure.

However, throughout his career, he has been involved in several controversies as well. Hogan is most vividly known for his charisma and crowd-driving abilities. Whereas, fans and critics have often criticized Hogan for his in-ring abilities and skills.

Recently during one of Jim Cornette’s podcasts, he would become incredibly vocal of Hogan’s in-ring abilities, and criticize him brutally. Cornette would leave no stone unturned while ranting about Hogan and his work early in his career.

The 61-year-old would also bring up Hogan’s work in AWA as well as Japan and compare them directly with his work in WWF under Vince McMahon. Unfortunately, he would not stop there but also bring up Stone Cold Steve Austin and involved him in the comparison debate with The Hulkster.

Cornette became extremely critical of Hulk Hogan’s abilities in the ring, and it never improved, and always remained the same throughout his career.

What did Jim Cornette say about Hulk Hogan’s in-ring abilities?

Jim Cornette is one of the most noteworthy and influential personalities in pro wrestling. His mind is a treasure trove of aspects related to wrestling. Thus, speaking from his experience, he became vocal about Hulk Hogan’s lack of in-ring skills and promo abilities. He claimed that despite doing everything right, no work of Hogan looked exemplary.

He said, “When he got in the ring, he had to sell, he had to do the promos, got the people with him, he had to make the comeback, and wag the finger that was all great, but his stuff looked like s**t. And it was literally the same thing 10 years earlier than when Stone Cold was so over.”

Cornette further claimed, “Vince didn’t want him to get hurt. He didn’t want to get hurt and on those hard rings. But it was eight minutes, and back rake and bad looking punches. He did everything right, but the s**t he was doing looked like s**t”

Although Cornette went on a rant against Hogan, he was arguably one of the most popular workers in WWE. Despite having retired several years ago, the 69-year-old is still a legend and still has a massive fanbase.

Hulk Hogan is now retired, and nursing through several injuries and surgeries, which he incurred during his career.
