Bray Wyatt returned at Extreme Rules last year after WWE teased it for weeks. Since then, the WWE Universe was eagerly waiting for the Firefly Funhouse, which was an entertaining segment on every show in his previous run. But the recent Firefly Funhouse segment with Bobby Lashley got mixed reactions to it. As per reports, an important person is not working on the segment now, and hence perhaps the reason for its lukewarm response.

The Firefly Funhouse is the major part of Wyatt’s ‘Fiend’ character. An important person who worked closely with Wyatt on this segment is no longer in the company.

The reason why the Firefly Funhouse isn’t every week on WWE

Firefly Funhouse is an iconic segment in modern-day WWE. It helped ‘The Eater of the Worlds’ to revamp his career after a downfall in his around 2018.

As per Fightful Select, Nick Manfredini, the person who was close with Wyatt over this segment, is no longer associated with WWE. This is the likely reason why the Firefly Funhouse segment is not being shown regularly on WWE programming.

The report states, “Fightful Select has confirmed that Nick Manfredini left the company earlier this year. Manfredini had been with WWE for well over a decade, having joined the fold in the spring of 2010. Manfredini was heavily influential in the creation and creative of the Firefly Funhouse segments.”

It further stated, “Manfredini was known as a guy within WWE who would often downplay credit on himself, but was often put over by Bray Wyatt himself to people backstage. For the sake of clarity, this was well before Bray Wyatt was sidelined with an illness.”

There is no news on whether Manfredini left the company or WWE released him. Even Fightful Select has not shared any word about his departure and what he will do after WWE. Before joining WWE, Manfredini was associated with the Howard Stern Show.

Clearly, this is a huge blow for the former WWE Champion. Currently, he is not ‘physically fit’ to wrestle and Manfredini’s departure may make him alter a few aspects of his character again. Since his return, Wyatt hasn’t been a part of a major storyline and fans are waiting for him to do something big for months.

Jim Cornette on Bray Wyatt

Recently, on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru podcast, the 61-year-old shared his concerns on Wyat vs Bobby Lashley’s feud. Moreover, he said the former Universal Champion has done nothing since returning to WWE.

Furthermore, Cornette also pointed out Uncle Howdy, who can wrestle on behalf of Wyatt if he is unable to compete at ‘Mania. As per the wrestling legend, canceling Wyatt’s presence on the show with Lashley will be a huge mistake from WWE.
