WWE’s latest Premium Live Event offering Royal Rumble got the wrestling community buzzing for many reasons. There was the epic performance by Rhea Ripley in the Women’s match which she won after entering number 1, the return and triumph of Cody Rhodes in the Men’s Royal Rumble, and the turn of Sami Zayn on The Bloodline. One more moment that caught the attention of the fans was the simultaneous springboard crossbody performed by Logan Paul and Ricochet leading to a mid-air “crash.”
Despite dividing opinions, Logan Paul impressed in his first outing in the Royal Rumble match and even eliminated Seth Rollins. Speaking on the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, the 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, who also eliminated ‘The Maverick’, shared his thoughts when he saw Logan backstage before the Rumble match.

Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s marquee events and every performer wants to be well prepared to give it their best shot and steal the show. WWE wrestlers take great care to prepare for their spots in the match and even then at times, botches can occur. Hence, there can be a lot of nervousness in preparation for this big match. But it seems Logan Paul doesn’t take the pressure on himself.
Cody Rhodes mentioned on the podcast that he kept observing Logan Paul backstage during the Royal Rumble and he appeared calm. ‘
The American Nightmare’ said, “Yesterday I kept I don’t know if you noticed just kept looking at you and kept through the day staring at you. I thought that because you were so calm and you were just in your causal clothes…sitting there.”
Rhodes then mentioned that he thought about saying something to him but stopped himself after he saw him change “into his stuff” quickly.

Rhodes said that he has seen wrestlers panic before such a big occasion. The former Intercontinental Champion said that didn’t appear to be the case with Paul. Moreover, he called Logan Paul’s demeanor “the most wrestler thing” he has seen.
It appears Logan Paul was more than ready for the grand stage of Royal Rumble and hit one of the most talked-about spots of the match with ease.
What’s next for Logan Paul in WWE?
After providing the Royal Rumble match with its highlight reel moment, fans are speculating what is the next step for Logan Paul in WWE. One obvious direction could be a feud with Seth Rollins leading to a match at WrestleMania 39.
Logan Paul eliminated ‘The Visionary’ from the match and even mentioned it on his podcast. One would expect some sort of fallout from that.

If the YouTuber-turned-wrestler could set up a match with Rollins it would add to his impressive resume in WWE having already shared the ring with The Miz and Roman Reigns.
A match with Rollins remains in the offing for ‘The Maverick’. But before that, The Architect will participate in the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship.

It now remains to be seen if Seth Rollins wins the U.S. title and takes it to WrestleMania. If that happens, the stakes will be much higher for a possible match against Logan Paul.
