Logan Paul's Prime in hot water—Is this the beginning of the end for his brand?

Has Logan Paul once again found himself embroiled in a controversy? Yes, he has. The problem this time doesn’t stem from his WWE stint but from his personal endeavors. Prime, one of the most popular energy drink brands in the world has found itself in shark-infested waters. The news comes as a surprise to many since the energy drink brand has ascended to otherworldly success in a short span of time.

Paul has a penchant for landing himself in trouble throughout his stint as a content creator and professional athlete. He became subject to intense scrutiny for his involvement in scandals during his YouTubing days. Additionally, he gained the ire of the masses for his role in a cryptocurrency fiasco. The Maverick appears to have committed a larger sin than the one indicated above, since Refresco, a beverage bottling behemoth, has chosen to sue him. This may have massive ramifications for the WWE star since the lawsuit is expected to cost $68 million.

Logan Paul’s firm, Prime, secured an initial contract with Refresco. The contract stated that the energy drink firm would purchase at least 18.5 million cases (222 million bottles) every year for three years. Refresco had dedicated a custom production line and large upfront expenditures for the drinks owing to its widespread demand based on Prime’s projections.

Fast forward to now and it appears that Prime, following their recent drop, has failed to meet this agreement. This prompted Refresco to initiate a lawsuit against Prime. Refresco initiated a penalty payment to the energy drink brand that could have been avoided if Prime had ordered 55.5 million cases over the course of their three-year agreement. However, Logan Paul’s company failed to comply despite the company surpassing $1.2 billion in revenue for 2023.

This is not the only problem Paul has right now as The Maverick has struggled in the WWE too. He just lost his United States Championship to LA Knight. This has forced Paul to witness a different outlook in professional wrestling as he confessed feeling envy towards a top WWE star.

Paul lost his United States Championship to LA Knight. The match was a blast, and Paul discussed it on an Impaulsive podcast episode with The Undertaker. Logan Paul said that he was envious of all the attention Reigns was receiving even though he does not put his body on the line often. He meant that the Original Tribal Chief does not need to do anything spectacular in the ring to wow the crowd since the WWE Universe is already invested in the storyline. The young WWE star chalked it up to veteran experience and is hopeful of attaining similar wisdom by amassing experience in the future. He will be hoping that his learnings from the squared circle doesn’t prove as troublesome as with his endeavors with Prime.
