Friday night’s SmackDown had a boxing touch to it courtesy of the Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio weigh-in. And just like any weigh-in, this one also involved a heated confrontation that almost erupted into a brawl. This also reminded fans of Paul’s infamous weigh in with Dillon Danis that happened sometime back.

Logan Paul just can’t wait to beat Mysterio to win his first championship in the WWE.

Considering the match involved Logan Paul, who is known for having boxing bouts outside the WWE, a weigh-in was arranged for his title match at Crown Jewel. The setup was just like the one before Logan Paul’s boxing match with Dillon Danis, the only difference was that they were not separated by cages.

SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was there to officiate the weigh-in. After calling both the stars to the stage, they both were weighed in. Post that, both the superstars came face to face with each other and that’s when things got a bit messy. Paul, being his cocky self, tapped on Mysterio’s head like he was a 5yr old. This infuriated Mysterio, who went on to slap Paul right in the face.

Paul then tried to attack Mysterio, but he ended up knocking out a security official instead. The two stars were eventually separated, but Mysterio got a chance to hit Paul again with the microphone to Paul’s head. This reminded fans of how Dillon Danis did the same thing at the weigh-in before his boxing match against Paul.

But this was also not the first time that a weigh in has happened in the WWE.

A weigh in happened between Braun Strowman and Omos right before their Crown Jewel match

This took place at last year’s Crown Jewel in 2022. Both these giants came face to face to get their exact weight before their brutal battle.
