Liv Morgan Kisses Dominik Mysterio, Becky Lynch’s Likely Final WWE Match & More: WWE Raw 5/27 Results, Recap & Highlights

The first episode of WWE RAW after the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia took place on Memorial Day. Coming live from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia, the show saw the fallout of the PLE. The new King of the Ring, Gunther addressed the fans about his win while Liv Morgan faced Becky Lynch in a steel cage match. The show saw several solo matches and new developments in the storylines. Here are the results of WWE RAW.

WWE Monday Night RAW 27/05/2024 Results

Video package: The show opened with a recap video package for the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia.

In-ring segment: Ludwig Kaiser opened the show by introducing Gunther, the King of the Ring 2024. He came out to the fans chanting, “We want Randy.” He announced that he would be challenging Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight title. The Ring General talked about how he took the Intercontinental Championship to the next level and that he would do the same for the World Heavyweight title. However, the Judgment Day came out to cut his promo short. Priest called out Gunther for his controversial ending to the match in Saudi. As the two argued about who could teach whom what, Drew McIntyre came out.

McIntyre called out CM Punk and then clarified that he would be winning the title at Clash at the Castle. While Priest and McIntyre continued their verbal assault on each other, Braun Strowman came out.

Braun Strowman vs. JD McDonagh

Winner: Braun Strowman

The match started with Strowman in control. Showcasing his strength, The Monster Among Men used McDonagh like a ragdoll. However, McDonagh targeted Strowman’s knee to gain an advantage. Finn Balor and Carlito tried to aid McDonagh to no avail. Strowman was able to pick up the win.

Post-match: Carlito and Balor began assaulting Strowman, who was able to stand his ground. McDonagh tried to attack him again with a steel chair, to no avail. McDonagh got out of Dodge with Strowman in hot pursuit.

Backstage segment: Liv Morgan addressed her steel cage match against Becky Lynch in the main event. She claimed she had no idea Dominik Mysterio would get involved, but tonight, she would defend her title for the first time without interference.

Backstage segment: Priest asked Carlito and Balor where McDonagh was to regroup. They said Strowman was after him.

Backstage segment: Adam Pearce told Ricochet he was cleared to have a match. Ilja Dragunov thanked him for saving him from Bron Breakker. Ricochet asked for a rematch, and Pearce confirmed it.

Ricochet vs. Ilja Dragunov

Winner: Ricochet via disqualification

The match started out with Dragunov being in the lead since Ricochet was still healing. Despite the rib injury, Ricochet was able to mount an impressive offense against Dragunov. However, the match ended when Breakker appeared out of nowhere to attack Ricochet with a devastating Spear. He also hit Dragunov with a Spear to end the match.

Backstage segment: We see Pearce yelling at Breakker for what he did before claiming he needed a drink.

Backstage segment: The New Day was seen with The Miz and R-Truth wondering if they could get a title shot. Karrion Kross appeared and is still trying to recruit Xavier Woods.

Authors of Pain vs. Creed Brothers

Winner: Authors of Pain

A match of pure strength saw Akam and Rezar take on Brutus and Julius Creed. The match showed both teams to be equally strong before Scarlett Bordeaux got involved. She distracted the Creed brothers by taking out Ivy Nile, allowing Authors of Pain to pick up the win.

Backstage segment: Rey Mysterio cuts a promo ahead of his match against Carlito. He talked about how LWO accepted Carlito with arms wide open, only for him to betray them.

In-ring segment: Sheamus addressed the audience for not being part of the Saudi PLE. However, his promo was cut short as Kaiser came on the Tron. Sheamus went backstage to hunt down Kaiser, and fans saw Alexa Bliss.

Backstage segment: Kaiser ambushed Sheamus, and the brawl led back to the main stage entrance. Pearce had to separate the two men.

Backstage segment: Becky Lynch was seen giving Lyra Valkyria advice ahead of her match.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Kairi Sane

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

The match started out in Sane’s favor as Valkyria was still healing from her PLE injuries. However, she could pull off a crucifix pin despite getting hit with the Tree of Woe for the win.

Backstage segment: Priest is seen with Balor and Carlito enquiring where Dominik Mysterio is. He asked if Mami knew what he did, and Dirty Dom told him she understood his actions.

Carlito vs. Rey Mysterio

Winner: Rey Mysterio

The match started out with both men sizing each other up. Carlito was able to get the upper hand, but the veteran Mysterio was able to counter it. Despite Balor running an interference, Mysterio was able to pick up the win after hitting his iconic 619 on Carlito.

Post-match: Mysterio went after Balor but was stopped by Priest. Dragon Lee tried to help but was taken out by Balor and Priest. Mysterio tried to aid him but was laid out by Priest.

Backstage segment: Chad Gable was seen yelling at Akira Tozawa, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri ahead of Otis’ match with Bronson Reed.

Otis vs. Bronson Reed

Winner: Bronson Reed

The match between the Titans started in Otis’s favor, but Reed was able to capitalize and win this quick match, much to Gable’s disappointment.

In-ring segment: Following Otis’ loss, Gable called out the entire Alpha Academy for a meeting in the ring. He insulted the members and wanted to punish Otis. However, Dupri stopped him, only to be yelled at and sent away. As Gable was about to continue his punishment, Sami Zayn came out. The two had a verbal back-and-forth before Gable attacked Zayn.

WWE Women’s World Title steel cage match: Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch

Winner: Liv Morgan retains her title

The match started with Morgan using the steel cage to her advantage. However, Lynch was able to turn the tables and attempt a near fall. Both women were quickly exhausted because they had the upper hand. The Man was able to get the upper hand following a top rope suplex. Morgan’s attempt to escape the cage was cut short by Lynch. Both women inflicted much damage on each other thanks to the cold steel. Dominik Mysterio came out to the ring to aid Lynch once more. Balor and McDonagh also came out to stop him. Strowman showed up to catch McDonagh. Mysterio accidentally hit Lynch in the face with the cage door. Morgan seized the opportunity and escaped the cage to retain her title. Walking back, Morgan kissed Dominik, shocking all the fans.
