Lita Reveals WWE Legend Offered Her a Match Against Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber

Lita is one of the iconic WWE superstars who took women’s wrestling to its peak. She, alongside Trish Stratus, had some brilliant matches which have now become iconic ones. Her time with the Hardy Boys is one of the best times in her career. Now, she will face Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber.

Lita returned to in-ring action in WWE in 2018 at Royal Rumble. She later had several matches in WWE, including a tag team match at all women’s PPV Evolution. She was also a part of the 2022 Royal Rumble match.

Recently, she appeared on Ring The Belle where she talked about challenging “The Bigtime” Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber.

Lita said, “After St. Louis, I was supposed to go home. On Sunday, I drove to Cincinnati, swung by Renee [Paquette’s] house, and was like, ‘girl, what can I wear?’ Johnny Ace asked me, ‘Do you want to fight Becky?'”

She added, “You know that I do and you know that she does. ‘How about in two weeks?’ ‘Uhhh, no, but yes,’ not only because I want to train and have a go, but seize the moment and take the opportunity when it’s there. Sort it all out in the wash,”  (H/T Fightful)

Even though Lita’s original plans were only till Royal Rumble, she wanted to stay with WWE for more time. As a result, she quickly said yes for this program and appeared on RAW two nights later to confront Becky Lynch.

The match with Becky Lynch means a lot to Lita

Lita, during her interview, also reflected on the reason this match at Elimination Chamber is important. She will wrestle in a singles match after a long time next Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Lita said, “This match is a true generational clashing match. We are very kindred spirits.” 

Lita has been observing Becky since her time before WWE and thinks she connects with her in real life, too. This will be the first time Lita will wrestle in Saudi Arabia’s PPV.
