Pro wrestlers can at times have a long road to recovery after suffering injuries. In some cases, surgery is required, followed by an arduous period of rehabilitation before they think of returning to action. Most recently, this has been the case with WWE veteran R-Truth. Truth has been out of action after he got injured on the November 1 episode of NXT after he landed badly following a dive to the outside. The 50-year-old wrestler was carried to the back and later it was confirmed that he would have to undergo surgery as he had torn his quad. After the surgery, Truth revealed he was still healing up and had to undergo another surgery. Truth said his second surgery was because his injured leg had an infection. And now the former two-time Hardcore champion has shared the latest update on his health and it is a positive one.
Fans hope to see R-Truth back in WWE soon after the latest health update
Despite his injury and subsequent two surgeries, R-Truth said that he was looking to come back sooner than some may think a few days ago. His latest health update, which he shared on Twitter, certainly bodes well for the former tag team champion. He posted a photo on Twitter of his crutches lying on the floor with the caption, “Stage 1 …Knee brace is off, and I’m off crutches.”
