Over the years in WWE, the WWE Universe has witnessed several celebrities stepping inside the squared circle. And legendary NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is one such individual that made few appearances in WWE.
But his first WWE appearance began in a very weird way. During the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33, Jinder Mahal laid down an attack on Mojo Rawley outside the ring. But Rawley had a friend that night in Rob Gronkowski, who cheered him on.
Soon after Jindal’s attack on Rawley, the former WWE Champion got into a confrontation with Rob Gronkowski, who was a part of the crowd. After the confrontation, Gronkowski tried to enter the ring.

However, at first, a security guard prevented Rob from entering the ring. The security guard probably did not have any idea about Rob’s appearance in the match. And the NFL tight end looked confused for a moment.

Mojo Rawley recalls Rob Gronkowski panicking at WrestleMania 33
Speaking on The Session with Renee Paquette, former WWE superstar Rawley recalled Rob Gronkowski’s appearance at WrestleMania 33.
He said, “We get to the spot and I’m laying on the ground, I’m selling, and Rob steps over and comes charging up. And Lisa (the security guard) jacked his a*s up. I saw Rob’s face when it happened, and I was like, he has no idea what to do right now.”
“Not trying to sell, like he is kind of panicking right now because he can’t pivot. I’m on the ground covering my face. I’m like, ‘Aye, part of the show. Let him go,'” Rawley added. (H/T: WrestlingInc)
But soon the other officials came in and took care of the situation, and allowed the 4x Super Bowl Champion to enter the ring.
He then attacked Jinder Mahal and took his revenge for what happened outside the ring. In the end, it was Rawley who eliminated Jinder Mahal to win the Battle Royal that year.
