Jey Uso is probably heading into SummerSlam with the biggest challenge of his career. After challenging Roman Reigns to tribal combat, Uso will enter the squared circle with a completely different mindset. A Tribal combat usually includes only the two involved superstars and no other outside interference. However, with Roman Reigns always having Solo Sikoa as his backup, Jey Uso might find an ally in the most unusual alliances of all time.

Although, while siding with an unexpected partner, the 37-year-old could also possibly set up a personal future rivalry for himself.

Which unexpected superstar could ally himself with Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023?

The entirety of 2022 saw Sami Zayn trying hard to delve into The Bloodline. His hard work would pay off when he was offered the Honorary Uce status. It also saw him develop a close friendship with Jey Uso. However, the constant abuse at the hands of Roman Reigns, finally made Zayn break out of the shackles, promptly inspiring Jey Uso to do so as well.

At SummerSlam 2023, Jey Uso might himself alone in his corner with no one to support him, until Sami Zayn shows up. With Kevin Owens injured, and the tag team not defending their titles, Sami Zayn showing up to help Jey Uso would be a perfect conclusion to this long-term storytelling.

Jey Uso and Zayn had a unique bond in The Bloodline, with Jey Uso growing to like Zayn before eventually turning on him. But now having left The Bloodline, Jey Uso and Zayn may see eye-to-eye again. With the former NXT Champion being in the corner of Jey Uso would give him added support since his twin Jimmy Uso has been missing, and injured.

However, Jimmy Uso’s absence could also be incorporated into the story in a much more personal manner.

Jimmy Uso could possibly return at SummerSlam and betray Jey Uso to align himself with Roman Reigns again

The feud leading into SummerSlam saw Solo Sikoa beating and injuring Jimmy Uso to send him out on a hiatus. However, as soon as Jimmy Uso was out, Jey Uso would enter the scene and demand a title shot against Reigns.

This particular fact could be incorporated into the story and have Jey Uso pitched as a brother not caring about his personal relations, but only the title win, and The Tribal Chief status. For around three years, Jey Uso was abused by Reigns, until Jimmy Uso decided to break the shackles.

It was Jimmy Uso who opened the doors for Jey Uso to break out. However, with him now out, Jey Uso went after Reigns and his title. Jimmy Uso could use this to go against Jey Uso.

The narrative could be that while Jimmy Uso cared about his twin, Jey Uso has always been focussed on being ‘Main-Event Jey Uso’.
