The New Day member suffered an ankle injury during the March 3 episode of WWE SmackDown after Drew McIntyre did a suicide dive on several wrestlers. Kofi Kingston is truly a veteran wrestler working with the Stamford-based company for a long time. He has achieved several accolades over the years. The massive star is also widely known for his historic performance at WrestleMania 35. But when it comes to WrestleMania 39, he looks set to be out on the sidelines.
The former WWE Champion took to Twitter to reveal his surgery date, 17th March 2023. Kingston also reflected on the great hospitality Alabama folks have offered him.

Considering his surgery, the earlier predicted time of 5 weeks for his return is no longer applicable. While his WrestleMania 39 involvement has clearly gone, as we are only two weeks away from it, now it’s time to see how much time the New Day member will take to return to his usual. All three New Day members are sidelined, with Big E and Xavier Woods both battling injuries for some time now. With Kofi Kingston joining the list, some fans believe it is the very end of the New Day tag team.
