The comments made by Ronda Rousey about enjoying “fake fights” in WWE didn’t sit very well with other female wrestlers. Lana and Alexa Bliss took a jibe at the former UFC champion turned pro-wrestler for her comments.
Lana lashed out at Rousey on Twitter. She was speechless at the former Raw Women’s Champion’s choice of words for professional wrestling.
I have NO WORDS for her audacity to save “fake fighting” !!!!!! If it’s fake why can’t @RealPaigeWWE & @TJWilson can’t wrestle anymore ?? If it is fake why couldn’t @EdgeRatedR wrestle for 11 years ???? This is a contact sport where REAL things happen! https://t.co/cYvGpTjmci

Lana brought out the examples of stars who had suffered life-altering injuries during their in-ring stints. She mentioned the likes of Paige and Tyson Kidd who were forced to retire because of their injuries. Paige had suffered a neck injury. On the other hand, Kidd had a spinal cord injury after being on the receiving end of Samoa Joe’s Muscle Buster.
One of the bigger names to have their career interrupted because of injuries was Edge. The “Rated-R” Superstar retired after he wasn’t medically cleared to compete in 2011. Edge, however, returned to WWE earlier this year at the Royal Rumble.
Alexa Bliss is a current star in the women’s division of WWE who was sidelined by injuries. She suffered a concussion during her match with Ronda Rousey at Hell in a Cell. Even she fired back at Rousey for her comments.
Hm. Was out for almost a year. Must have been “ fake” pic.twitter.com/lnLLAq3laT

“F*** these fans dude” – Ronda Rousey
The former UFC Bantamweight champ appeared on the “Wild Ride! with Steve-O” podcast. She accepted that she loved fake wrestling, choreography and the theatre. However, the job required her to be on the road for 200 days a year.
Consequently, she couldn’t spend time with her family. She also learned that she had broken vertebrae in her lower back before signing with WWE. Therefore, a large chunk of the time, while she was home, was spent with a heating pad.

Rousey had a problem with the fans as well. In the choice between performing in front of an ungrateful audience or staying home with family, the decision for Ronda was easy.

“At the end of the day, I was like, F***these fans dude. My family loves me and they appreciate me and I want all my energy to go into them. So that was my decision at the end of the day.”
Rousey added that she wouldn’t return to WWE for a full-time. If she was ever to return, it would only be for a part-time gig.
