Kurt Angle Would Love to Manage a Group of Olympic Wrestlers in WWE

There have been some instances when we see an Olympic wrestler trying his hand out in the pro-wrestling business. Although on paper it seems like a simple transition, it is not. But WWE legend Kurt Angle made it look like a child’s play.

Having his roots in amateur wrestling, Angle won a gold medal for the United States at the 1996 Olympics with a “broken freak’n neck.”

He debuted in WWE in the later years of the ‘Attitude Era,’ and WWE tied a rocket on his back, giving him a major push. Angle wrestled the greatest wrestlers the company had to offer and cemented himself as a legitimate threat to all other wrestlers.

One thing that stands out from his career in pro-wrestling is how subtly he used his Olympics gold medal win into his pro-wrestling storylines and portrayed himself as the “real athlete” among the others athletes.

His recent role with the WWE was the acting General Manager of Monday Night Raw, and he had his last match for the company at WrestleMania 35 against Baron Corbin.

Kurt Angle says that he would “love” to manage superstars

On his podcast The Kurt Angle Show, Angle was asked whether he would ever want to be a professional wrestling manager with his own stable of former Olympic wrestlers. To this, Angle said yes without skipping a beat.

He also talked about the difficulties he would face while managing because the transition is always not that easy. He further added that the wrestlers might have some locker-room egos.

“I would definitely wanna manage them, but you talk about a bunch of Olympic wrestlers. It’d be really difficult to get them all training, ready for pro-wrestling. It’s a hard transition, but it’s possible. Wrestlers can have some egos so dealing with the egos could be really hard too. I’m not so sure I’d wanna manage them but at the end of the day, I would love to do something like that.” Kurt said.

Although Angle fought his last match against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania, he has openly said that he wanted to face John Cena as his final opponent.

Now, with Cena back where he belongs, we might see a story developing for this legendary match-up.
