Wrestling fans always have a dream match they want to watch at least once in their lifetime. Similarly, the wrestlers themselves have dream matches too. They, too, have a particular wrestler they want to face off against before retirement. Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle once revealed that his dream match was with Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart.
The revelation was during an episode of “The Kurt Angle Show”. Looks like WWE Hall of Famer, ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair took some offense to that. Flair believes that Angle’s dream matchup should have been with him instead of Bret Hart. Even though both men have wrestled each other before, Flair discards it, saying that Kurt hasn’t wrestled the younger version of him. To this, Angle quickly replied,

“Listen, I put Ric Flair up at the very top of the best of all time. I will put him up there with Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan. They’re all different but you know they all deserve to be up there. And you know, Ric was the best heel in the history of the business. And he was the best entertainer.
“Bret Hart, from in-ring work, just strictly in-ring work, was the best I think technician. He’s the one guy I always wanted to work with because technique’s important to me. But Ric has been a — he’s more of a showman. He has technique; a lot of technique he’s great at it. But what he’s incredible at is entertaining the fans, being funny and entertaining and exciting. And that’s why Ric is so over is because of how popular he is and how entertaining he is.”

Kurt Angle on the best version of Bret Hart
Flair’s comments were based on another episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” where he stated that he watched a film of Bret. Angle thinks ‘The Hitman’ was at his best from 1995 to 1996 and he loved watching Bret’s work.

Angle also declared that if he had to put a stipulation in, it would have been the ‘Iron-man match.’ According to Angle, it would have been best suited to them.
