JBL, aka Bradshaw and Farooq, were an interesting tag team back in the early 2000s, going by the name Acolytes Protection Agency. The duo was put together during the peak of the Attitude Era, and both the wrestlers soon earned the reputation of hard hitters. However, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently revealed that APA was the locker room leader along with The Undertaker.
Now, everyone knows that The Undertaker was the one who called the shots backstage and the fellow wrestlers had to deal with that. Similarly, JBL and Farooq were in the same position as well.

How did the duo become friends with The Undertaker?
When Farooq and JBL were put in a tag team, they were simply named Acolytes and had a ‘cultist’ gimmick. The pair soon joined forces with Undertaker’s evil ministry and performed dark rituals alongside him and they soon became good friends behind the scenes.
As the time passed by and the Ruthless Aggression came, WWE repackaged Acolytes’s gimmick and renamed them APA where the duo drank beers and smoked cigars.

Kurt Angle reveals a backstage story of the APA
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, ‘The Kurt Angle Show‘, the WWE Hall of Famer confessed that JBL and Farooq drank all the time.
However, this never affected their in-ring status, and also they shared the locker room leader’s position alongside The Undertaker.
“They drank all the time. They drank during the show. But, surprisingly, even though they drank so much. They were kind of the in-ring locker room leaders with Undertaker. Those guys were like Undertaker’s muscle.”
“They set the rules in the locker room. And understandably, I mean for Farooq and Bradshaw [JBL] are both badass this, and so is Undertaker. So rightfully so they should be the leaders.” said Kurt.

The APA was known for its hard-hitting action sets and in-ring dominance. Sure, the duo received a lot of complainers from fellow wrestlers about going easy inside the ring, but JBL and Farooq never changed a thing.
