Over the years, we have seen how sometimes WWE Championship defines its stars. Similarly, when we recall John Cena, the spinner title comes up in our minds as it was part of his major run as the WWE Champion. That customized version of the WWE title is still widely popular among fans. However, Kurt Angle recently shared how that version of the title wasn’t “cool” for other stars in the company.
The spinner belt was only cool for John Cena!
In a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE legend talked about Judgement Day 2005. However, while discussing the discussing with co-host Paul Bromwell asked Angle to give his thoughts on ‘The Cenation Leader’ introducing the spinner belt.

The ‘Wrestling Machine’ while sharing his views on that version of the title clearly stated the spinner belt only benefitted Cena.
Angle said, “It was good for Cena (and) has someone carrying that belt its kind of odd. It’s because Cena is the one that came out with the idea and the concept. He made a lot of money on merchandise with it.”
The WWE Hall of Famer added, “So I mean if Cena was going to carry the title that was great for him but, I’m more of a traditional guy. I liked the title, the Eagle (winged) title and I also loved the World Championship. The spinner belt was cool, but I just think it was cool for John.”
Several WWE superstars have got a customized championship during their reign. However, Cena’s spinner title is a nostalgic memory for the WWE universe. He defeated John Bradshaw Layfield aka JBL for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21 and introduced the spinner belt.

The Rock was the last person to hold the spinner title. He won it by defeating CM Punk in 2013 at Royal Rumble. The Brahma Bull later revealed the new title on the following episode of RAW.
Which other WWE stars held the spinner title?
Apart from the ‘Franchise Player’, several WWE stars held the spinner belt many times. The names of those WWE superstars are Randy Orton, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Edge, Sheamus, The Miz, Jeff Hardy, Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, and The Rock.
Even though the spinner belt was a customized title, Edge and The Miz went on to add a small detail to that championship to make it their own. Edge had a big ‘R’ with a red background, while Miz kept the WWE logo turning it to make it look like ‘M’.
