It’s difficult to get something past the WWE creative team if they’ve already made up their mind. WWE Veteran Kurt Angle learnt this when he was trying to get booked in a match against Triple H.
While talking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle revealed that he really wanted to be booked for WrestleMania. As a result, he was constantly pitching ideas to the creative team. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out in his favour.

“I was pitching ideas. I was trying to get into the match with Triple H and Jericho, make a triple threat. And, add Stephanie to the mix. You know, because of the love triangle. I did everything I could. But you know, creative felt like they wanted, I think Triple H wanted it to be one on one because it was his moment. His WrestleMania. He was gonna win the title. So, I completely understand that.”
Even though he did get his WrestleMania booking against Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle really wanted to not be it a last-minute thing.
“But, you know, I didn’t have a lot of options. And, it was frustrating. But the writers, they can’t book everybody on the show. It’s just impossible. So I was lucky enough to get a last minute booking though.” H/t The Kurt Angle Show
