Kurt Angle is a veteran in the world of professional wrestling. The WWE legend had appeared in different wrestling promotions and experienced glory almost everywhere he went.
But even the all-time greats have to go through a tough phase in their life at one point or the other. And so it happened with Kurt in 2011 while he was in TNA.
However, a person always learns after having an experience and so did Kurt. He learned from his experiences in 2011.

During one episode of the Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle talked about how he felt overall in 2011. He mentioned all the struggles and issues he went through during that time.
Kurt said, “I was heavy into alcohol at that particular time, not the painkillers. I switched to alcohol and would only drink it at night. It was a trying time for me. That’s one of the main reasons I ended up going to rehab in 2013.”
“I really ruined my reputation big time, especially getting four DUIs in five years. I was very careless, didn’t really think much, made poor decisions and I had to live with that,” he added.
But the former WWE superstar has turned his situation around and is doing pretty well now. He even made a grand comeback to WWE in 2017 and got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Addressing this question, the WWE Hall of Famer replied he can’t exactly recall which match it was. But he believes it was two weeks prior to the Bound for Glory PPV in 2011. Kurt claimed he knew it right away as soon as he tore it.

Kurt said, “My leg ended up going limp, blood rushed down there and it just got so swelled and my whole leg got black.”
Further, the WWE legend admitted it was tough to battle with the torn hamstring at the Bound for Glory PPV, but he had to deal with it.

Despite the hamstring injury, Kurt Angle defended the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Bobby Roode at the Bound for Glory PPV.
