Future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has not got it easy with family problems plauging his life. Following relevant recent events, his dearest son, Dominik Mysterio turned heel on his father. The rift happened in September 2022. Since then, the tensions in the relationship have been at a peak.

Dominik emotionally withdrew from his heroic father because of how he was treated. The world did not recognize him as an individual. Rather, he was seen as the token son of the WWE legend. However, Dominik had enough of living under his father’s shadow turned on him. The storyline has since been under grand construction. With WrestleMania around the corner, fans have started speculating on how things could materialize

Reportedly, the father and son duo perform at WrestleMania 39 this year. The rumors suggest that they will face each other. WWE legend and Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has recently talked about the topic. He showed his excitement and appreciation for the potential match.

Kurt Angle is running out of patience

The ‘American Hero’ recently debuted as an MMA judge at PFL. Even though he gravitated towards MMA, it doesn’t mean that he has gotten over pro wrestling. The former wrestler is still as much interested in the affairs. In a recent episode of his podcast, he talked about the potential upcoming fight between the talented father-son duo. “I think they are going against each other,” said an excited Wrestling Machine.

While discussing whether it could be a possibility or not, the host considered that the storyline does have great potential for it. Angle even went ahead to praise the “great story” by recalling, “the kid turns on his dad. His dad’s a hero. The kid’s a cocky arrogant little bastard. He was a good kid at first, but turned bad.”

Will Kurt Angle’s wish be fulfilled?

Although nothing has yet been confirmed, Angle is still hopeful about seeing the match. The potential of the storyline according to him is unmatched. In fact, it cannot be ignored how fans are also buying into the rumor as it hypes up the upcoming event. “I think this story’s great and I think that should go at WrestleMania,” said the former wrestler about the potential fight.

Although the storyline is not particularly based on a feud, it’ll still catch fire. This is because it is based on emotions. Fans always seem to connect with emotional storylines.
