Zayn kicked off this week’s Monday Night Raw show, where he talked about Owens being shipped off to SmackDown. He said he felt weird as his tag team partner won’t be around anymore. But he also expressed his excitement over the fact that now he can direct all his time and energy to focus on singles competition in WWE.

He said, “I’m excited for me too. Because I get to do something I haven’t done in a while, which is stand on my two feet and show the whole world what I have known inside of me for years and years. And that is that Sami Zayn is a World Heavyweight Championship-level superstar.”

He made his intentions very clear that he now has his eyes on gold but not any gold, the World Heavyweight Championship gold. But as he began his new chapter in WWE, a major roadblock hit him.
