Top WWE Superstar Gets Emotional as Bret Hart Thanks Him During Canada Walk of Fame Speech

Besides being the greatest technician wrestler of all time, Bret Hart is the pride of Canada too. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer recently got inducted into the Canada Walk Of Fame.

He received heartfelt speeches from his close peers, The Rock and Chris Jericho, in the induction. However, Hart’s own speech was cut down due to time constraints, so he took to Instagram to finish it.

On Instagram, he thanked the fans for making the induction happen. He gave a special shoutout to Jericho and Johnson for taking time out from their busy schedules to say such kind words.

He went on to thank each wrestler he ever worked with; also, the Canadian wrestlers who paved the way, including his father, Stu Hart, Roddy Piper, and so on. He ended his mini-speech by expressing his gratitude to the current wrestlers who kept his legacy alive.

“To the many other Canadian wrestlers, some that filled my shoes after my career ended, that someday will deserve this same honor: Chris Jericho, Edge, Trish Stratus, Kevin Owens, Kenny Omega, my niece Natalya, my brother Owen, and so many more.” Bret wrote.

A truly memorable and iconic moment for The Hitman.

The Rock and Kevin Owens thank Bret Hart for his speech

Despite talking about Bret’s greatness in his induction ceremony, The Rock had more words to say about Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be.

On his social media accounts, he wrote, “My pleasure, Bret Hart was a mentor to me when he didn’t have to be, and in our wild and intense world of pro wrestling, there weren’t many “mentorship programs” back then.”

He also said that Hart guided him when he needed it. For that, he will always be grateful to the Hall of Famer.  “Congrats, my friend, on your incredible accomplishment.” 

Dwayne has always praised Bret at every opportunity he’s got. Earlier this year, while he was promoting his movie ‘Jungle Cruise,’ during an interviewer he wore a Bret Hart shirt, and he let his co-star, Emily Blunt, know what the man did for Rocky.

Kevin Owens is also a Canadian and grew up idolizing Bret. So, to be mentioned in his speech was a big deal for KO. He thanked Hart for the mention and said, “That’s so humbling. I’m so incredibly honored. Congrats, @BretHart, and thank you!!!”
