Older pro wrestling stars find it harder to accept the trend that the new wrestlers are setting for themselves. This gives a lot of room for criticism. However, John Cena is a previous-generation wrestler who accepts the youth as they are.

In a recent episode of ‘Hart to Heart’ Season 3, Cena let us in on his thoughts regarding the new wrestlers. His words may come out as shocking if that’s not what you expected to hear from him.

John Cena’s honest confession on the new generation of wrestlers

Cena appeared on Kevin Hart‘s show to have a ‘heart to heart’ conversation. Both Hollywood stars talked about a number of things. However, Cena’s mention of new generational wrestlers stood out.

He confessed, “I feel the talent, the performers are better-taken care of, they’re more professional, they’re more understanding, they’re not as wasteful, they’re a lot smarter, they’re a lot healthier.”

This comes in contrast with how The Undertaker sees the new generation of WWE wrestlers. While Phenom believes that the new generation of wrestlers has made the work ‘soft’, Cena believes, “You have to act accordingly.”

This is because the company is trying to fit into whatever fits right with the audience. According to the WWE legend, it is important for the promotion to survive.

It appears that it’s not just Cena who cares about the new generation of wrestlers. On the other hand, the new wrestlers also notice John Cena just as much.

Former NXT star appreciates John Cena

In an interview two years ago, Karrion Kross revealed his liking for Cena. Although now fans see Kross appear in SmackDown, the interview is from the days when he used to be the NXT Champion. Around that time, Kross revealed his respect for John Cena. Despite having a lot of options to choose from, the wrestler fixated on how he would like to work with Cena inside the ring if given the chance.

In the same interview, Kross also revealed, “He’s the reason why a lot of us have a job today.” An important thing to pay attention to is that the WWE legend didn’t directly save any jobs. Here Kross is probably referring to Cena pushing the promotion to the next level as its top star and benefitting all the stars in return.
