The Covid pandemic was a tough time for everyone. However, depending on the situation, some people even benefitted from it. While many businesses were forced to seize operations during the lockdown, WWE was operating with limitations. The company held its shows without fans in the Performance Centre. Some stars could have found it a difficult change, but turns out Bayley liked it that way.

Not performing in front of a huge crowd was challenging for stars who were used to doing it. However, Bayley revealed that it was the best time of her career. She explained the reason behind her statement in a short interview with Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp.

In the interview before Money in The Bank last month, the female star did not open up to the interviewer about what she thinks of having an audience all around her. However, the reason why she liked the pandemic time for her career has nothing to do with the fans. In fact, it’s all about how WWE was utilizing her talent during the time. This, in turn, had benefitted the wrestler a great deal. When Sapp asked her whether there was a ‘pivotal’ point when the promotion asked her to become the ‘MVP of the pandemic era’, Bayley denied it.

Honestly, I can tell you they didn’t make a decision where it was like, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna rely on Bayley and Sasha for this stuff. It just kind of happened. I think they saw how much we were killing it and how much that we were able to not only do what they asked but excel and give them more and more and more,” the wrestler began explaining.

Then, she added, “That, honestly, as weird as it sounds, is probably some of the best times of my career and probably the most rewarding.

Bayley isn’t the first WWE personality to have appreciated and utilized the pandemic era of wrestling. And while some continued their satisfying run, even when the lockdown was lifted, Bayley didn’t like what happened to her. Now, she believes her talent is not being used properly.

On the same day as her above-referenced interview with Fightful, Bayley also featured in an interview with the Gorilla Position. The interviewer praised her talent and also said that according to him, she should be doing bigger things in WWE. After agreeing with the statement, Damage CTRL’s leader said, “I could be on a little more posters. That could be me instead of Seth Rollins,” while pointing out Seth Rollins on the MITB poster.

To portray her intentions correctly, she also cleared out that she is not discontented enough to leave the promotion. This is because she looks up to see her faction members achieving success. However, both interviews suggest that Bayley appreciated the pandemic era more because of how well WWE utilized her talent.
