Judgment Day is carving out history in WWE at this moment. The sinister faction that used to make people’s hair stand on end ever since their inception breathed its last at the fateful SummerSlam night, on August 4. Rhea Ripley was subject to a bitter betrayal from her kayfabe beau Dominik Mysterio after a rigmarole of a love triangle swirling over the months. On the other hand, Damian Priest had to let go of his prideful tag of the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther after Finn Balor chose impact proceedings. The awful yet predictive outcome made fans wonder what exists next unless and until they find a unique innuendo from the company’s creative.

The faction had a well-documented impact on the division. Triple H, being the chief architect behind the upheaval journey of the group, shaped it to the best of his abilities. Edge took off the intrepid expedition with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest by his side. Despite meeting with the initial stale, the faction started to deliver after Dominik Mysterio’s arrival. His exhilarating romance with Mami and the wrath against his own family kept fans hooked for a long time. JD McDonagh chimed in to keep serving spice to the already-cooked recipe of a piquant storyline.

It was during the Money in the Bank 2023 that the world came to know about the cracks of the group as Balor and Priest underwent a petty miscommunication. Last but not least, the dramatic comeback of Rhea Ripley to catch Mysterio off guard romancing with her arch-nemesis Morgan put the final nail in the coffin. The faction tragically broke up. On Raw last week, we saw Michael Cole mentioning a ‘new Judgment Day’  which made it clear that a change was imminent.

To know what it is, we needed to wait until the Wrestle vote came forward with a bombshell piece of update. The report suggested,’‘ Plans are in motion to rebrand the ‘new’ Judgment Day. Sources say the group’s essence will stay the same, but a name change is likely. The leading candidate is an out-of-the-box, yet bold idea: “Street Trash”. Adding to the name change narrative, WWE recently filed a trademark for the name ‘FATAL INFLUENCE’. While they didn’t specify the intent, fans connected it with the splitting faction and banked on the potential rebrand of the faction.

Fans connect the dots over the new Judgment Day’s identity

Finn Balor infamously turned on Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. While everything was about to end, the face stars chose to fight back. Ripley and Priest found their best support in each other in this testing time. They made up their mind to form a new tag tea to feud with their former stablemates Mysterio and Morgan. While the poster was shown, the name ‘Terror Twins’ took the cake. Now, it seems we are going to get Terror Twins vs the Fatal Influence pretty soon.

Is WWE losing its touch with names like 'Street Trash'? Fans deserve better!

Have an interesting take?

The earlier Street Trash theory immediately found itself on the periphery. The term Street Trash was pretty humiliating as it originated from Gunther’s scathing insult to Damian Priest during their heated build-up ahead of Money in the Bank. So, fans rightfully find the name Fatal Influence more satisfying than that. Also, the resembling tone of ‘Influence’ and ‘Judgment’ made the transition a balanced jump.
