With the starting of a new year, we have officially entered WWE WrestleMania season, which means Royal Rumble is right around the corner. And we have our first entrant for the 2022 Rumble.
Johnny Knoxville has entered the 30-man battle royale. He decided to kick off his 2022 by announcing this news.
Knoxville is an actor, stunt performer, and comedian. He is famous for co-creating and starring in a stunt-based reality show, Jackass. He recently made an appearance on WWE SmackDown where Johnny, along with other “Jackass” cast members.

They had a backstage segment with Riddle and Randy Orton. He has also been on Monday Night RAW in 2008 and 2010, in segments with The Great Khali, Gail Kim Beth Phoenix, and Ted DiBiase Jr.
WWE confirms Johnny Knoxville as the first Royal Rumble entrant
In an announcement video posted to Instagram, Johnny said he yearned for more in 2022. Something other than his upcoming film ‘Jackass Forever’ and something big. That is why he wants to participate in the Royal Rumble.
Knoxville then called out the current roster of WWE superstars. He said, “I have seen the current list of WWE wrestlers, and frankly, I’m not impressed. They don’t have anyone big enough to throw me over the top rope.”

He challenged Roman Reigns and Big E in the video, which Johnny referred to as ‘Little E’ and ‘Roman Ruins.’ In the caption, he mentioned wrestling heroes like The Rock, Abdullah the Butcher, and the Gorilla Monsoon.
Johnny also pompously mentioned that he would 100% win the battle royale.

During the Day 1 pay-per-view, Knoxville’s video was played for the audience. The commentary confirmed that Johnny would participate in the Rumble.
When and where will the Royal Rumble match take place?

The Royal Rumble is all set to take place on January 29th. WWE will host it in St. Louis, Missouri, at The Dome at America’s Centre. The matches for the pay-per-view will be set up from next week onwards.
No matches have been confirmed yet, but we will likely see Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar and Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch. The winners of this year’s Rumble will also be unpredictable as there multiple favorites to win the match.

But following Day 1, the favorite to win Men’s Royal Rumble is Bobbly Lashley. At the same time, the favorite for the women’s match seems to be Liv Morgan and Sasha Banks.
