John Cena’s Top Rival Endorses His Other High Profile Arch Nemesis as “The Rockstar of WWE”

In the course of the last 20 years, John Cena wrestled several matches in WWE. He made several on-screen rivals in the process with several stars expressing their admiration for Peacemaker star. However, one particular rival, who is also a Hollywood actor, recently praised his and Cena’s arch-nemesis, for his talent as he completes an amazing milestone in WWE.

‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge recently completed 25 years in WWE. He and ‘The Cenation Leader’ had some classic matches. However, a 54-year-old WWE legend was seen praising Edge in old footage that is released again.

Former rival of John Cena praises Edge 

Edge has had a superb run in WWE since he returned at Royal Rumble 2020. The entire arena was on an emotional roller coaster as The Rated R Superstar returned to the ring almost a decade later.

Edge’s first run saw him facing several top names in WWE. One of those was Dave Bautista aka Batista. In one-minute footage shared by WWE’s Indian broadcasting partner Sony Sports Network ‘The Animal’ praised Edge. The footage was from the ongoing show ‘Living on the Edge’ celebrating 25 years of the 49-year-old WWE legend.

Batista said, “He is a special dude. He’s a, I don’t know, he is a special dude, just like he is like a rockstar of WWE. That’s right the Rated R Rockstar. I loved working with him.”

The Animal added, “He was so easy to work with. He’s got a thousand moves. I got like three moves and he’s got a thousand and they all have cool names. He was so fun to work with.”

The 11-time world champion has completed 25 years in WWE. While talking about Edge, John Cena shed a tear when he shared how much WWE means to Edge.

Batista and Edge clashed multiple times for the World Heavyweight Championship several times. However, Edge retired early due to his career-ending injury and Batista went to Hollywood. ‘The Animal’ didn’t stop there as he highlighted a particular trait of Edge that people didn’t pay attention to.

Batista says Edge is a huge guy!

For all those years WWE Universe has watched the ‘Ultimate Opportunist’ on TV. In the landscape of wrestling where giants tower over other stars, we could be forgiven for assuming Edge was a person with a normal physique. However, The Animal denies those claims as he revealed the truth about the Rated R Superstar.

The six-time world champion said, “He is also a big guy. He’s another guy, I think people don’t realize how big Edge is. So, it was really a lot of fun to work with him.”
