John Cena‘s Peacemaker has been a hit in the movie market. Film fanatics have loved the character so much that Warner Bros. has now introduced an anime version. Yes, the character is getting an anime reskin in an upcoming anime television series based on the DC Comics team Suicide Squad. John Cena’s Peacemaker to get anime retouch

Just like Peacemaker, Suicide Squad is also a favorite among DC fans. Therefore, they are bringing back the iconic team of antihero/supervillain but with a twist this time. It will be an anime version, which will be produced by Warner Bros. Japan and animated by Wit Studio.

The Peacemaker, played in live action by WWE star John Cena, is one of the characters in the upcoming anime series. Takehito Koyasu lent his voice to the character in the series. Harley Quinn, The Joker, Deadshot, King Shark, and Clayface are the other characters that will get their anime version introduced in the series.

These characters will be voiced by Anna Nagase, Yūichirō Umehara, Reigo Yamaguchi, Subaru Kimura, and Jun Fukuyama, respectively.

The director of the series is Eri Osada. Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara are the screenwriters. Naoto Hosoda is the character designer, and Kenichiro Suehiro is the composer. The series is set to premiere in 2024.

The show will feature an opening theme song titled “Another World”, which is performed by the renowned Japanese musician, composer, and record producer Tomoyasu Hotei. The song is powerful and catchy, which will perfectly set the mood for the show and capture its essence.

So far, Cena’s Peacemaker has appeared in two projects. First in 2021 Suicide Movie and the second time in the HBO Max streaming television series Peacemaker. Additionally, the wrestler-turned-actor reprised his role in a guest appearance as a DLC fighter in Mortal Kombat 1.

Warner Bros. Japan Anime recently dropped the teaser trailer for the upcoming series and it is in Japanese. Given that the anime is set to be released in English for the global audience, ‘The Champ’ might lend his voice to his anime character for the English dubbed version.
