John Cena has come a long way from his humble beginnings as a brave upstart full of “ruthless aggression” in WWE. In 2002, Cena was one of the many brilliant prospects to emerge from Ohio Valley Wrestling who landed a spot on WWE’s main roster. And despite a rocky start, became not only one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time, but also a movie star.

And a successful one for sure, as his recent film just took the number one spot on Prime Video in the US. A feat that Cena is thankful for.

Taking to his X, John Cena thanked his fans for making his recent flick Ricky Stanicky the #1 movie on Prime Video in the United States. He reshared the original tweet by Amazon Studios where they revealed the fact to the fans. In the caption of the retweet, Cena wrote, “#1 in the US! Thank you to everyone who watched #RickyStanicky on @PrimeVideo! And if you haven’t watched, grab your friends (real OR imaginary) and enjoy it together!”

The plot of the movie is the story of Dean ( Zack Efron), Wes (Jermaine Fowler), and JT (Andrew Santino), three kids who after getting into trouble one Halloween night invent Ricky Stanicky, another child they blame for their antics. From then on, the imaginary friend will become the secret that intimately unites these companions and the perfect lie to go on a trip, or party, and avoid the uncomfortable events of their respective families and partners.

After years of creating the perfect life for Stanicky, the trio of grown-up friends find themselves in a bind when their wives and family demand to meet the popular, altruistic, handsome, and intelligent mystery friend. To achieve this, they hire a nice -but problematic- actor named Rob, played by John Cena, who will first save them from their problems, then get them into more by forever owning the identity he plays. But do you think Cena would be able to save Cody Rhodes from the Bloodline if he appears on WrestleMania? Where he recently hinted that he will appear.
