John Cena decided to work out in the gym, lift weights, and develop a physique that no one would ever want to face after being tormented as a teenager. Cena has built his profession and gained everything from it—fame, fortune, and reputation—thanks to his ethics and physical discipline. However, The Champ was often attacked while working as a bouncer at a bar in California, long before he became a worldwide sensation as a WWE and Hollywood Superstar.

The 13-time WWE Champion spoke up to Jimmy Kimmel about his job as a bouncer at a California bar seven years ago while appearing on his show. During that, he mentioned that while working as a bouncer at a bar; he encountered several challenges, engaged in numerous fights, and regularly suffered severe beatings.

The Champ said in conversation that his manager had given him strong instructions not to permit anyone without an id, which led to a number of issues for him. In his words, “When you get a guy stroll in off the beach, just shorts just want to down a few Corona’s and have some tacos and the guy won’t let him in.”

Subsequently, Kimmel asked, “Did you ever fight any of these people?” Cena replied, “Man, that place! Thank goodness they’re no weapons involved, but I was in my fair share of brawls. Won some, lost some… Are you kidding me in a bar fight anything goes. I’ve had my a** whooped a bunch of times.”

Now, no one would dare to challenge The Champ as he destroyed Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and many others. However, given that he was still in his 20s, it’s possible that he hadn’t yet acquired the skills necessary to outmatch someone who was even bigger than he was.
