During a session in the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cena revealed that when he put on The Peacemaker costume and walked down the street before Suicide Squad 2 was released, no one even knew who the character was or that it was Cena under the helmet.

“We did a bit for Jimmy Kimmel where it was like, I was a few buildings down doing a bunch of interviews in the uniform and I walked on the street to Jimmy Kimmel. He’s right there in the thick of it and I was passing like Spider-Man and Batman. Nobody gave a sh*t about me especially because this is like pre Suicide Squad. So, who the h*ll is Peacemaker? Right? I could just walk down the street. It was great. Everybody just thought I was, you know, a guy trying to work the corner for some polaroids or a picture or something.” H/t Happy Sad Confused.

Fans kept the ‘You Can’t See Me’ John Cena joke alive for too long

When Cena was working with WWE, he did the five-finger shuffle in his rivals’ faces. The indication was that they cannot see him because of how quickly he can move around in the ring.

However, this became one of the most consistent jokes in the WWE Universe. To this day, fans respond to his photographs by claiming they cannot see anyone.
