16-time WWE World Champion John Cena is preparing to retire from WWE after a legendary career spanning more than two decades. Cena made the announcement at WWE Money in the Bank, news that left the wrestling world stunned. However, to mark the occasion, John Cena has planned an extensive retirement tour throughout 2025.
The tour will give fans multiple opportunities to see him in action one last time. In a recent interview, Cena revealed that he will dedicate the entire year 2025 to WWE for his retirement tour. This tour will include around 36 dates, with important stops such as Royal Rumble, the first edition of Monday Night RAW on Netflix, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
In addition, Cena stated that this tour would emerge as his biggest priority after the filming of the second season of Peacemaker, which ends at the end of 2024. He said, “It’s something I’ve been preparing for for a long time. If you backtrack interviews, I started talking about that in, maybe 2019. So I’m ready for it. And I think now is the perfect time to do it. I have a little bit of time in 2025, and the WWE has been awesome working with schedules and everything. They thought it was a great idea. So they kind of ran with the idea. We expanded it to a year, thirty-six dates. I feel great; it’s a happy thing. I’m not going to tell anyone how to feel because I don’t believe in that. But I’m going to approach it with an upbeat attitude.”

As for his tour, the WWE superstar provided details in his interview by saying “I can say that with the utmost conviction because I’ve given the 2025 schedule to WWE. I’m retiring in 2025 and starting that farewell tour in January. I’ll finish it in December and there will be about 36 dates around the world to thank and thank all WWE fans around the world. So that’s what I’m going to do in 2025.” In addition, John Cena expressed his deep appreciation to the WWE audience, acknowledging their support over the past 25 years, and emphasized that the tour is his way of saying “thank you” to fans around the world.
