WWE Star Dwayne Johnson, better known as “The Rock,” is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, but he does have a temper. For years, the wrestler-turned-actor hasn’t been getting along with his former Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel. But for a long time, he was in a much more public feud with WWE star John Cena.

Johnson and John Cena are now back together, but Cena says it was a long, hard road to get back together. He starts by talking about how annoyed he was when Johnson started putting his growing film business first but now he is sorry for this and even reached out to Johnson’s mom for his actions.

In the early 2010s, John Cena and The Rock had a feud on TV, but WWE fans know that their problems went far beyond the ring.

But when The Rock came back to wrestling in 2011, things changed. They were at odds with each other for more than two years, ending in record-setting main events at WrestleMania. Cena won the second main event at WrestleMania 29 a year after The Rock won the first one at WrestleMania 28.

Even though fans liked the competition, both celebrities have said that things got too personal before the bouts. Recently in an interview on the Howard Stern Show, WWE Champion John Cena spoke more about the feud. “I guess my angle came from the fact that he was saying, ‘I love the WWE,'” Cena said. “Man, if you love it, why aren’t you here?”

Now that Cena works in movies, he thought about what he said and said, “What a stupid thing to say. It was ignorant. It was my ignorant perspective. And I’m so sorry.” When asked if he had apologized to him directly, Cena said that he had done so right after their match at WrestleMania 29. “Was that awkward?” Stern inquired. “For like five minutes,” Cena laughed back.

“He had his moment, this wonderful WrestleMania moment. After that foremost, I went to his mom, and I said I was sorry and I hope she understood everything that I was doing was just for business. His mom is an ace. She was amazing,” Cena said.

With both stars well-known in the acting and pro wrestling spheres, it seems that Cena is better able to understand the challenges that Johnson may have faced in appearing at the promotion while working in Hollywood. With the two’s rivalry settled, who do you think has had a more prolific career in Hollywood so far?
