

At one point in time, John Cena was a superstar who was untouchable in WWE. Not only was his legacy building rapidly, but he was also becoming a WWE legend. For years, there was no person who could claim the top spot in the company better than Cena. Even today, if Cena was to make a comeback into wrestling, fans would flood back to their TVs to watch him wrestle.

But we know that he is someone unsurpassable in WWE, but what about him? Who does Cena think stands above him? Who would Cena love to test out his mettle in the wrestling ring? Being a generational talent, there are very few wrestlers from the past that could match him, but the one Cena wants to wrestle easily stands head and shoulders above the rest.
John Cena once revealed who he would like to wrestle from the past
In a Men’s Journal article, John Cena was asked, “If you could wrestle anyone from the past, who would it be and why?” He replied, “Andre the Giant. Just to see if I could earn his respect. He was the measuring stick by which everybody was judged.” The man who shook the wrestling world along with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 3 is one of the most well-regarded wrestlers in the company’s history,
Being the first giant in WWE, he rocked the boat with many greats, like Bob Backlund and Hulk Hogan, and wrestling someone like Cena would be right up his alley. A master at putting on a show, Andre was the best attraction that a wrestling booker could ask for. Arenas and stadiums would fill up just to watch Andre beat a tiny wrestler to the ground. But as we all know, Cena wouldn’t be one of them in a fantasy wrestling match.

The 16-time WWE World Champion has wrestled his fair share of giants during his time in WWE. The Hollywood actor put Big Show, Mark Henry, and Kane to sleep. So while it would be a stretch, Cena would put on his best showing in front of a person with a giant presence like Andre.
