For many John Cena is the greatest in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment. His fame transcended wrestling, he became a movie star in Hollywood. He continues to be talked about both in the wrestling world and Hollywood. The former world champion will star in the film Ricky Stanicky, which will be released in theaters in early March.
And in order to promote the film, the 16x world champion appeared in a recent interview where he revealed how the movie is really close to his heart. Especially the character he plays as it is eerily similar to him.

In a recent interview with the Open Thoughts YouTube channel, the interviewer couldn’t help but notice the similarity between Cena and the character he plays, Ricky Stanicky. The film follows three friends who create a fictional character to help them get out of compromising situations. However, when their loved ones become suspicious, the trio are forced to hire an actor to play their imaginary friend. And in a sense, Cena can be called imaginary too due to his gimmick of you can’t see him. And Cena too agrees, as he says, “That’s an interesting perspective. Not too far-fetched. Yeah a guy playing an imaginary friend who becomes real but still can’t be seen. Yeah yeah it’s was like, it’s pretty close to the the vest.”
In the upcoming movie Zack Efron and Jermaine Fowler will also be part of the main cast alongside Cena. And while the movie promises to be a humor fest, the same can be said about Cena’s style of promoting it. Like opening an account on OnlyF*ns.

Displaying his quirky sense of humor, he has posted photos and videos full of double entendres. In one image he holds a cup and tea bag with the description: “What goes in dry and comes out wet? Happy Tea Bag Tuesday!”, for example. In another, he puts a baguette in his mouth and writes, “Putting this bad boy’s 6 inches in my mouth.” Finally, in one more, he is seen happily cutting a sheet of paper with scissors and adds: “Scissors… It glides nice and easy.”
