Huge Update on John Cena’s WWE Return At SummerSlam 2021

WWE wanted to book John Cena vs. Roman Reigns for SummerSlam 2021, which is supposed to be the biggest event of 2021. Unfortunately, there seems to be a spanner in the plans.

As per latest reports, John Cena may not be able to make it to SummerSlam 2021 after all because of his schedule. The Invisible Man has signed for a movie, Argylle, and the shooting will begin in August 2021.

Considering SummerSlam 2021 is scheduled for August 21st, the schedule might clash for Cena. Moreover, the shooting will be in Europe while the PPV will be in Las Vegas; hence, the location and time difference factor in too.

The only way John Cena can make it to the PPV is if the shooting starts after SummerSlam 2021. As of now, these are on-going developments, and more will be known later.

John Cena is definitely coming back to WWE

While it’s possible the megastar may be absent from the biggest PPV of 2021, he will definitely come back to WWE. During an interview, John Cena addressed the rumours about his return and confirmed them to be true. Unfortunately, he did not give a date for the same.

On the other hand, reports have claimed his due date for return to WWE is July 16th, 2021. This is the same day the tours are supposed to restart.

If all goes as per the reports, John Cena will come back to the company within a week. However, Cena himself has not confirmed any news, and nobody has hinted towards a potential return on July 16th, 2021 either.

Nonetheless, as of now, the best person against whom John Cena can return to the company is Roman Reigns. He is the Universal Champion, and Cena was the mega Superstar of the company at one point. It’s only fair to put the two together in a ring and let the match take over the WWE Universe.

Speaking of mega Superstars, there are two other names that fans expect will return to the company soon – The Rock and Brock Lesnar. Regrettably, it doesn’t look like WWE will bring back all three stars in the same year.
