WWE Hall of Fame Undertaker gained a lot of people’s attention over the years because of his wrestling career. However, on Joe Rogan’s podcast last year, Undertaker caused a stir in the WWE universe by admitting to using steroids and accusing the current WWE locker room of being soft. Albeit, WWE Legend, John Cena, disagrees with The Undertaker’s remarks.

In reaction to Taker’s statements on Joe Rogan’s podcast, in an interview with Forbes, John Cena commented, “I could look at the economics of it and make an argument that between myself. And the large amount of folks that carried on the roster beyond the Attitude Era into the Ruthless Aggression Era and the Reality Era.”

“The fans of the Attitude Era certainly looked at our product as not what they’re used to, and it wasn’t. So I may have a bit of disagreement with Undertaker’s word choice because I don’t think it’s soft. I think it’s different.”

Undertaker made his WWE debut at the end of the Golden Era and the beginning of the Attitude Era. Wrestlers like Andre the Giant, The Iron Sheik, and many more had established themselves as companies’ top-tier wrestlers by the time The Undertaker arrived. Hence, it was widely assumed that, in order to reach the top, one must be a giant. Consequently, wrestlers used steroids to build muscle.

John Cena vs Undertaker Rivalry

John Cena and The Undertaker are two of the most successful wrestlers in the company’s history. Despite the fact that they were at their peak from 2003 to 2010, they never had a major feud. Since both Superstars had their schedules packed, a rivalry was never in the books.

However, at WrestleMania 34, they eventually got their big showdown. Fans were looking forward to the game. The Undertaker’s unexpected return to accept Cena‘s challenge was greeted with ecstatic applause. The encounter, however, was far too short and fell far short of expectations. Taker easily overcame the 16-time World Champion, taking only 2:45 to win by pinfall.
