It seems John Cena has taken another break after his recent WWE appearance at WrestleMania 39. Although the wrestler keeps on dropping amazing Hollywood projects, his fans are always waiting for his return to in-ring action. Due to his usual schedule, Cena has been kept by the film industry. However, the wrestler has always shown immense interest in the promotion.

And now The Prototype is all set to be part of a major WWE project. This news may sound abrupt to the WWE audience, but recent reports were hinting at a new WWE show in the making, with Cena’s involvement in the project.

The WWE legend is making up for his lost time at the promotion. Ever since Cena had his break into Hollywood’s big screen projects, he has not been regular with WWE. At times, the wrestler has shown up for his in-ring performances, but for the most part; he is not there.

This upsets a lot of his fans because they miss the part where he used to light up the stage. However, with this recent news, Cena has yet again excited the fans.

In collaboration with A. Smith & Co. Productions and WWE, John Cena has received the green light for an upcoming project. The show to be produced is called WWE: Recruits and will be an 8-episode long docu-series. It will feature new and aspiring WWE wrestlers on their journey to get signed by the promotion.

The WWE legend is now reportedly on a scheduled Hollywood break. This may be the reason why he is able to dedicate a huge amount of time to the promotion’s future.

As Deadline reports, Cena recently opened up about his thoughts on ‘Recruits.’ “Millions around the world watch and dream of it, but only a handful of extraordinary individuals can become a WWE Superstar. I am so excited to bring WWE: Recruits to The Roku Channel and look forward to giving viewers an exclusive all-access perspective on how the WWE turns the dreams of talented young people into a reality,” said the 16-time WWE World Champion.

Cena used the public platform to create awareness about the upcoming show. He even went on to fully promote with the best set of words that he could find. The show will probably air somewhere in 2023 with further details awaited.
