After their empathetic win against The Bloodline at Fastlane, John Cena and LA Knight teamed up to counter questions from the media. At the post-event press conference, they talked about a potential tag team match for the tag titles against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

Answering the question, Cena said, “We’re undefeated. I think that’s all I’m going to say about that.” Backing up Cena, LA Knight said, “We’re on a streak already. Never say never.” Knight and Cena agreed that WWE might set up a fight in the future between the two baby-face teams.

The two aforementioned groups won their respective matches at the recently concluded Fastlane PLE. While Cena and Knight won against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, Rhodes, and Jey Uso faced Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest. They won their high-profile match for the Undisputed Tag Team title as Rhodes delivered a Cross Rhodes to Balor for the win.

LA Knight makes the save and shows respect for John Cena

On the 29th September episode of SmackDown, Jimmy Uso attacked AJ Styles in a backstage segment, eventually sending him to the hospital. Later on in the show, The Bloodline attacked John Cena, but LA Knight came to Cena’s rescue.

He signed the contract to team up with Cena to face the tyranny of The Bloodline. At the end of the show, Knight even lifted Cena’s hand in appreciation and showed respect. However, actions speak louder than words and the Fastlane PLE had all the answers for the wrestling community. Knight and Cena backed up their union by clinching the win in a decisive fashion. Why put an end to something good? That could be how WWE also views the state of affairs and book the matchup between the two teams of SmackDown and Raw.
