Did Joe Gacy just hint at a Bray Wyatt return, or are we reading too much into it?

During the main event of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW, The Wyatt Sicks, made up of the trio of Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis, won their first televised match in the company since their inception. It was a convincing win against Chad Gable and the Creed brothers, Julius and Brutus. However, the victory wasn’t the only moment where Gacy managed to shine.

A new video of the Wyatt Sicks was presented during the latest edition of the Red Brand. Since last week it was Dexter Lumis’ turn, tonight it was Joe Gacy who was the focus of the VHS tape. The video featured Joe Gacy as Huskus the Pig Boy, sitting on the ground with his back turned against the camera.

“They thought they could control you. They locked you away. But I saw through their lies. Opened your heart to the man in the woods. And now, we’ll make them all pay…for their sins.” said Uncle Howdy’s distorted voice. “Run!” shouted Gacy to end the video. While these words wouldn’t mean much to many fans, fans of WWE NXT will notice a subtle hint about an NXT star who has since left the promotion.

The line about Huskus being locked away is a reference to Joe Gacy’s rivalry with Dijak during his run back in NXT. The two feuded after Gacy crossed paths with Dijak in search of revenge for his previous defeats. This led them to face each other in a one-on-one, no-disqualification match on Vengeance Day 2024, which Dijak ultimately won.

This was further confirmed by a tweet by Dijak where he wrote, “Couldn’t possibly be happier for @JoeGacy. No matter how hard I tried, you can’t lock down such an exceptional level of talent.” However, it was interesting to see how the WWE managed to mention the angle featuring their former superstar. Especially after Dijak has been critical about a few practices in the Stamford-based promotion that he would like to see Triple H work on.

Christopher James Dijak, known in WWE as Dijak, was released from his contract a few weeks ago. It was news that surprised the pro wrestling world and his dressing-room mates. Dijak denounces that the press knows who is going to be fired before the wrestlers themselves and believes that WWE should improve that aspect. He said, “It’s one of the most horrific business practices I’ve ever witnessed. I haven’t been in a lot of businesses. I will be outspoken about this until it gets fixed. That’s not how it should be done. They need to figure out a way to contact everybody all at once and let everybody know all at once that this is happening. We should not be put through this thing where you see one name come out, ‘Oh, Mustafa Ali has been released,’ and we all go, ‘Okay, I know he asked.’ I texted him, ‘Hey man, I’m sorry.’ He texted me back, ‘Yup, I think there is more coming.”

Since his departure, Dijak has conquered the Ryse Grand Championship, marking a significant milestone in his career after six years without winning a title. This achievement not only highlights his ability and dedication in the ring but also his perseverance in the wrestling industry. What do you think? Is the issue pointed out by Dijak right?
